Goose Island IPA Review from the Weekender

 

Goose Island is another great brewery coming to the Steamtown Beer and Music Festival and this review was first published March 20,2013.  Not 100% sure if they are pouring this at the fest, but here's hoping they are because this would be a nice thirst quencher on a warm summer afternoon!

Chimay Blue Review from the Weekender

Continuing in the build up to the Steamtown Beer and Music Festival... here is my previous review of Chimay Grande Reserve... commonly known as Chimay Blue... from the Weekender.  This review was first published January 2, 2013... however the fact that it is delicious and worth trying still rings true.  Even more amazingly is that Chimay will be at the festival a fact that I am amazed by and can't wait to try a few!

Sam Adams Oak Aged Porter

Armetta's Pizza in Clarks Summit has this nice brew on tap for very reasonable prices.  I had one today and its very 

tasty! It's a nice porter with vanilla, caramel, and oak highlights throughout. I have a feeling this one won't last long so do yourself a favor and stop by and have a glass!

Stone Ruination Garlic and Cheddar Soup

In my recent review in the Weekender of Stone's Ruination IPA I mentioned a recipe for a wonderful soup.  I have included a link to the recipe for this soup here.  If you make it please leave some feedback.  I made it awhile ago and it is truly amazing.  It is also very filling.  If you have a loved one that enjoys all things cheesy than you simply HAVE to make them this soup!  Enjoy!!

We are now one week away from the Steamtown Beer and Music Festival.  The lineup of breweries is incredible and I am truly blown away by the sheer amount of participants.  It seems like every time I go back to check the line up more breweries have been added.  Haven't seen the line up yet?
